During the Auction
- Can bidders contact me during the auction?
- What if I receive a bid outside of Bid4Homes?
- Can I end my auction early?
- Can I edit my auction listing, auction terms or auction description?
- What if there is a material change to my asset during the auction?
- Can I limit access to my auction?
- What are seller ratings and what do the stars mean?
Yes. Bidders can forward questions to you through the Ask Seller a question link located on your auction listing page. A copy of the bidder question will also appear in your personal online mailbox located in the Message Center of MyB4H.
Make sure you are prepared to respond to potential bidders questions thoroughly and in a timely manner. You may also publicly post questions and answers in a FAQ (frequently asked questions) area within your auction listing.
In our Terms of Service, sellers agree that the auction of specific assets will be held exclusively on Bid4Homes. If you receive a bid outside of Bid4Homes, it is your obligation to have that bid placed on Bid4Homes. To maximize the value of your asset it would be to your benefit to have the potential buyer register and enter the bid on the site. This can often generate higher bidding.
We can help you place the offline bid online. Please contact us at service@bid4homes.com.
You are not able to change the auction dates after you've submitted your listing to the site. B4H Support Services can end your auction early for a fee. The amount of the fee is determined by whether or not your auction has bids. Click here to review the B4H fee structure. Please contact us at service@bid4homes.com to facilitate your request.
Once your auction is submitted, you are not able to change the auction dates at anytime. You can make changes to your auction description under the following guidelines if your auction is:
* If your auction has no bids, you can edit all the information with the exception of the auction dates. Note: If changes are made, you must indicate exactly what was changed in your auction description. Bid4Homes automatically inserts a date/time stamp at the top of the auction description if a change is made.
* If your auction has bids, changes can be made only by B4H Support Services. Anyone who placed a bid is notified that the auction description changed. These Bidders have three business days (or another period provided in a notice to the bidders) to amend or retract their bids, after which time all bids will remain irrevocable. There is a fee for this service. Click here to review the B4A fee structure. Please contact us at service@bid4homes.com to facilitate your request.
If a material change is made to an auction description when the listing is live (bidding is open), anyone who placed a bid is notified that the auction description was changed. These bidders have three business days (or another period provided in a notice to the bidders) to amend or retract their bids, after which time all bids will remain irrevocable. All material changes to an auction listing during the Preview Period must be fully disclosed on the listing page.
No, you are not able to limit access to your auctions.
